Sleepeezee donate children’s books; joins industry charity

As part of the launch of its kids beds range ‘Little Bedz’, British bed and mattress brand Sleepeezee, have produced a limited-edition series of their very own children’s book.

Made and manufactured just for your little ones, Little Bedz provides cosy and bounce proof comfort, offering complete support on both sleep and play mode. Carefully designed for the growing needs of children, the range offers exceptional support and comfort whether parents are buying their first bed or upgrading an existing one.

Titled ‘Watch Me Glow!’ the book follows the story of Frankie the firefly and their search to find their glow. With an underlying message of self-confidence, ‘Watch Me Glow!’ is the perfect story to get your little one off to sleep. Created in collaboration with Edinburgh-based marketing agency, Multiply, the character of Frankie was developed in a workshop including members of the Sleepeezee team, to create a gender-neutral character with a heartwarming story.

Head of Marketing, Amy Curtis commented: ‘It has been fantastic to create Watch Me Glow! and see the story of Frankie the firefly come to life. Launching Little Bedz was a huge project for all of us at Sleepeezee, and to launch such an inspiring book to sit alongside the product is something we are really proud of. It has been even more rewarding to gift a series of the books to our charity partners at The Children’s Hospital Charity, and we hope that the children find joy through our story’.

Currently launched as a limited-edition piece for trade colleagues and visitors to Sleepeezee’s showrooms alongside the initial launch of the Little Bedz range, Sleepeezee has also gifted 25 copies of the book to its charity partner, The Children’s Hospital Charity as part of its ongoing partnership to support the Sheffield Children’s Hospital.

Chief Fun Officer at The Children’s Hospital Charity, Tchad Western commented: “We’re so grateful to Sleepeezee for their ongoing support of Sheffield Children’s NHS Foundation Trust and Charity and the generous donation of Watch Me Glow! books. Books are a very welcome distraction to children when they are staying with us and go a long way in making hospital that little bit easier. We know that our patients will really appreciate them and can’t thank Sleepeezee enough.”

The books have been circulated throughout the hospital wards for patients to enjoy and the donation came at a great time, ahead of the hospital charity’s Glow in the Park festive 5k event that takes place in Sheffield’s Endcliffe Park every December. This year, the event took place on Tuesday 12th December at 7.30pm with individuals, families, friends and colleagues invited along to get together and ‘glow all out’ to raise money for Sheffield Children’s.

In other news, The Furniture Makers’ Company, the City of London livery company and charity for the furnishing industry, has welcomed Sleepeezee to its ranks as a corporate member.
