Bedding specialist to the hospitality industry, Richard Haworth, has reported a growth in sales and profit.

According to its latest filed accounts for the year ended 30 April 2022, total sales rose 97.3% to £36.9m from £18.7m in 2021.

UK sales jumped 111% to £35.7m from £16.9m, while EU sales slipped from £1.5m to £1m. Outside the EU, sales stood at £190,000, down from £240,000.

Gross profit increased from £7m to £11.9m, while pre-tax profit resulted at £6.7m, more than doubling from £3m recorded in the previous year.

Stated within its report, the company said it is “optimistic” on potential revenue and profit growth moving forward, benefiting from the development of a “broader product range and an increased focus on online and end user sales”.
