Romanian furniture supplier moves into new factory

One of the largest players in the interior fit-out segment in Romania, THETA Furniture & More, has officially opened its new factory, dedicated on producing custom-made furniture.

The new factory is approximately 5,000sqm in capacity and has taken around a year to complete the construction.

It is located in Păulești, Prahova County, with the company, which has exports across Europe representing 20% of business, investing approximately €4m in the project.

The new factory also has a better space optimisation and features areas such as office, production, processing, painting and storage.

For the year ahead, the company estimates a turnover of €14m, growing from €10m in 2021, with the new factory expected to boost production.

Gelu Florian, COO of THETA Furniture & More, commented: “With the construction of the factory, we predict a doubling of our production capacity and significant improvement of the factory efficiency, ensuring superior control and optimisation of our custom-made furniture process.”
