Retailer surpasses 500 dropship suppliers’ milestone with tech partner

DIY, hardware and furnishings retailer Robert Dyas has reached a new company milestone, surpassing over 500 dropship suppliers through its long-standing technology partnership with Virtualstock.

Virtualstock’s cloud-based SaaS platform establishes a one-to-many connection, seamlessly linking Robert Dyas to its extensive and growing network of suppliers.

This connection allows Robert Dyas to swiftly and easily onboard new suppliers, and to rapidly expand their online product catalogue for an enriched customer experience and enhanced online revenue. Notably, 70% of the total Gross Merchandise Value (GMV) for Robert Dyas now originates from dropshipping.

Simon Spencelayh, Managing Director, at Robert Dyas commented: “Offering our customers best-in-class home and garden products at competitive prices is central to our mission at Robert Dyas. Surpassing 500 suppliers, from exciting new start-ups to world-famous brands, is a testament to our commitment to this.

“The shared characteristic among them is that their products align with our ethos, emphasising innovation, practicality, and enduring design. Our partnership with Virtualstock and the implementation of their dropshipping solution has been instrumental in achieving this milestone.

“Utilisation of their innovative technology has not only streamlined our operations but also led to an incredible 1,480% increase in the number of dropship products. Over two-thirds of our online sales are now facilitated through dropship, reflecting the effectiveness and efficiency of this solution.”

Ed Bradley, CEO of Virtualstock concluded: “This accomplishment marks a pivotal point in Robert Dyas’ rich history, showcasing their dedication to innovation, adaptability, and commitment to delivering an exceptional customer experience. We’re proud to be part of this transformative journey, and we look forward to continued collaboration, driving success, and setting new milestones in future.”
