Retail group Frasers Group has announced plans to open a new global headquarters in Warwickshire.

The group, which owns furniture retailer Sofa.com and department store chain House of Fraser – as well as other retailers including Sports Direct, has proposed the new Campus in Ansty and would include logistics, offices, R&D retail, a hotel, and leisure facilities.

Architect firm Grimshaw has been appointed to lead the project, which will also see a gym, swimming pool, and bookable courts and pitches open to the public part of the transformation.

Frasers Group said in a statement that the potential new site will help ‘accelerate the business’ growth and support its future’, with the current stage remaining subject to gaining planning permission.

The proposals are understood to be submitted to Rugby Borough Council in the coming months, while a public consultation has been launched.
