Fashion and home furnishings business The White Company has reported an increase in sales by almost £50m.

According to its latest filed accounts for the year ended 31 July 2021, total sales rose 21% to £271m from £223.1m in 2020.

Gross profit rose from £120.9m to £150.9m, while pre-tax profit resulted at £27.7m, up 57.3% from £17.6m the previous year.

Stated within its report, the company said that sales within its Home category accelerated due to consumers spending more time at home following the pandemic.
