Pandemic buying patterns boost growth at cabinet supplier

Cabinet furniture and doors supplier LPD has reported a growth in sales and profit as turnover surpasses £60m.

According to its latest filed accounts for the year ended 30 September 2021, total sales rose 38% to £66.6m from £48.2m in 2020.

Within its segments, furniture sales represented £10.7m, up 25.5% from £8.5m last year, while door sales stood at £53.4m.

Gross profit increased from £13.5m to £18.7m, while pre-tax profit resulted at £5.5m, up 52%, from £3.6m recorded the previous year.

Stated within its report, the company said trading had been enhanced due to Covid-19 buying patterns, alongside a number of significant customer wins, which has continued to contribute to growth post-year.
