Office furniture manufacturer Verco has reported a growth in sales as turnover surpassed £10m.

According to its latest filed accounts for the year ended 31 December 2021, total sales rose 30.9% to £12.7m from £9.7m in 2020.

Gross profit increased from £3.2m to £5.3m, while pre-tax profit resulted at £0.8m, significantly improving from its loss of £0.7m recorded the previous year.

Stated within its report, the company said that the Covid-19 pandemic continued to impact trading despite its improved results over 2020.

During the year, the business maintained its workforce levels, continued to invest in new machinery and products, as well as marketing to boost future growth.

The London office in Clerkenwell re-opened during the period and will continue to be an important part of the business moving forward.
