London Fabric Show sets 2023 date

Organised by the British Furniture Manufacturers, the London Fabric Show will take place at ILEC, London on 28th February and 1st March.

The location was the setting for this year’s event and the quality of enquiries from buyers, coupled with a significant increase in exhibitors, means the BFM team are committing to its new location again in 2023.

Certainty over the date has also enabled the BFM to agree bookings for suppliers, with more than 70 per cent already confirming their presence at the 2023 show.

With spaces limited, companies interested in joining the world-class line-up of exhibitors are urged to make contact with BFM as soon as possible to secure their space on the floorplan.

The BFM moved the London Fabric Show to the ILEC Conference Centre in 2022, near to Earls Court, to offer increased capacity and space, as well as provide greater opportunities for more fabric suppliers to showcase their very latest products. In 2023, the floor space has been increased again in line with demand from UK and Europe’s most innovative producers.

The 2022 show drew in world-renowned manufacturers and suppliers from Belgium, as well as Italy, Spain, Portugal, Turkey, Germany and the UK.

Fabrics on show included wools, tweeds, velvets, cottons, linens, chenilles, silks, leathers, faux leathers, backing fabrics and FR treatments. The latest fabric protection and cleaning treatments were also presented.

Sean Holt, MD of the BFM, said: “We were very pleased with the feedback from exhibitors and buyers and feel the new format really hit the mark.

“Buyers within the international furniture community, and the 40-plus exhibitors in attendance, welcomed the event’s new format.

“A 30 per cent increase in exhibitors ensured the buyers were offered an unrivalled exhibition experience to source high quality designs and innovative contemporary and traditional fabrics for upholstery, bed, and soft furnishings.

“We made it a hosted, invite-only show to enable exhibitors to showcase their products directly to a key, professional audience.

“We are committed to re-investing in the show for the future and now look forward to delivering further growth, attracting more exhibitors and a wider audience of international buyers for the 2023 event with profits from the event being reinvested into the industry to develop and grow business and talent for the future”
