Logistics business says sales expected to be lower

Logistics business Wincanton has reported that sales are expected to lower year-on-year.

According to a brief trading update for the six months ended 30 September 2023, the group continues to trade in line with market expectations.

“As in prior years, profit is expected to be weighted towards the second half of the financial year, reflecting our seasonal peaks and the onboarding of new customer wins,” Wincanton said.

“In line with the Q1 Trading Update, total revenue is expected to be lower year-on-year, reflecting the strategic reorganisation of the Group’s transport operations.”

The Group will publish its interim results on 9 November 2023.
