Kitchen furniture maker grows sales beyond £90m

Kitchen furniture manufacturer Ultima Kitchens has reported another growth in turnover as sales surpassed £90m.

According to its latest filed accounts for the year ended 31 December 2022, total sales rose 23.6% to £92.1m from £74.5m in 2021, further adding to its growth of 21.3% from £61.4m in 2020.

Pre-tax profit resulted at £25.8m, up 40.9% from £18.3m recorded the previous year. Operating profit as a proportion of turnover has increased to 28% from 25%.

Stated within its report, the company said that it has continued to invest in technology and new facilities, with £5.3m invested during the year on machinery and a further £0.4m on delivery vehicles.

“This investment was made in order to increase manufacturing capacity and reflects the growth of the company’s turnover and expectations of continued growth in future years,” the business added.
