Kitchen furniture firm celebrates record sales milestone

Kitchen furniture manufacturer Omega has reported a growth in turnover as sales reached record levels, surpassing £60m.

According to its latest filed accounts for the year ended 31 December 2022, total sales rose 22% to £60.2m from £49.3m in 2021, further adding to its growth of 16% from £42.5m in 2020.

EBITDA decreased to £8.8m from £9.8m., while pre-tax profit resulted at £4.3m, down from its profit of £5.3m recorded the previous year.

Stated within its report, the company said that the reduction in profit was attributed to a number of one-off, non-recurring revenues and cost savings which benefitted 2021.

“2023 is expected to be a challenging year due to the ongoing economic conditions and inflationary pressures and the directors have planned for this,” Omega added.

“Despite the prevailing market conditions, the business maintains its focus on the medium-term, investing for the future in product innovation and further supporting customers with price commitments into 2024.

“The business launched a new technologically market-leading handleless kitchen brand (Novus) in May 2023 which will open up opportunities with new customers and consumers and will complement the existing brands to further cement our position in the market.”
