Kitchen firm appoints two new sales directors

Kitchen manufacturer nobilia has announced the appointment of David Lambert and Matt Hollis as the company’s two new Sales Directors. 

Working as part of the nobilia team, David and Matt will be responsible for the North and South respectively, as the business looks to grow sales opportunities across the UK.    

David Lambert joins from Moores Furniture Group, having worked for the business since 2016, and as its Sales Director since 2022. David’s 27-year career has seen him significantly involved in the kitchen industry, having held a number of positions, both in his native Ireland and across England.

Designing kitchens from a school boy age, his experience includes working for companies such as The Panelling Centre and Houseworks Ltd. Alongside this, his previous roles include as a contracts manager, an account manager looking after builders’ merchants, and in different sales positions, both consumer and trade.

On his new position, David comments: “I’m very pleased to join an industry leader in the kitchens space and I’m relishing this new challenge. My position will see me working across the North, heading out to meet customers face-to-face, as well as contractors, developers and architects.”

He continues: “Working within the Contract sales channel, it will be my responsibility to ensure that nobilia is specified in projects, as well as bringing in tenders for the business. I’ll use my extensive experience, both in sales and managing colleagues, to help develop the brand in the UK and create further opportunities.”

Matt Hollis joins nobilia alongside David as Sales Director, responsible for the South. Across a 22-year career, Matt has worked extensively in the kitchen industry, gaining experience in a number of businesses, including in his previous roles at Commodore Design and luxury German kitchen brand Poggenpohl.

Similar to David, Matt has been interested in kitchens from a young age and started first as a kitchen designer before moving into sales. In joining nobilia he brings a great amount of industry knowledge and proven experience to the table and will work with the existing team to build and maintain relationships, develop new business and drive sales opportunities in the South.

Matt comments: “A passion of mine has always been kitchen design and this has shaped my career. In joining nobilia, a quality brand known for its forward-thinking products, I get to work with the very best people, product and service.

He continued: “My experience means I’ve a good understanding of German kitchen engineering and I’m looking forward to this new opportunity. With a similar remit to David in the North, my work will include forging relationships with clients in the South, and nurturing these to bring about new opportunities.”
