JYSK to open new Telford store in June

Furniture retailer JYSK has announced plans to open a new store in Telford next month.

Situated in the Northern Quarter at Telford Shopping Centre, the new store will have 1,200sqm of floor space and adds to its expansion plans in the UK.

The new store will officially open on 2 June and will create around 10 new jobs, joining its other 25 UK locations, three of which opened last year.

Jenny Johnston, JYSK sales and marketing manager, UK & Ireland, said: “We are so pleased to be bringing JYSK to Telford this June and for local shoppers to explore our huge collection of affordable Scandi homeware and garden furniture.

“The Telford Shopping Centre store will mean that local shoppers can access our brilliant same-day click and collect service as well as enjoying our exclusive in-store lines. JYSK prides itself on its instore visual merchandising and Telford is no different, so we’re really looking forward to the locals of Telford and surrounding areas experiencing it themselves.”

JYSK saw record results in the UK and Ireland in its 2020/2021 financial year, with total sales growing by 67% €68.9 million.
