Italian sofa maker searching for the right UK partners

Italian sofa manufacturer Max Divani is expanding into the UK, opening a trade showroom in West Yorkshire.

The company, which has a rich heritage of 60 years after being founded by Rocco Ferri back in 1956, has chosen the Design House in King Street, Brighouse, as their UK base and studio.

Simon Orr, UK sales agent for Max Divani, spoke about its plans for the UK: “The future really depends very much on how the economy fairs. We are only looking for a small UK presence and very much on an exclusive distribution. We want to back the retailers with good P.O.S in the right locations.”

Max Divani also wants to create ‘centres of excellence’ so customers can get a good feel for their ranges, as well as training up staff to deliver high standards of service.

“I do think at some point factory visits are important when attempting to sell mid to high end products. Customers want to know why they are priced accordingly and we will be able to offer a high-class customer service,” Simon added.

Max Divani will be exhibiting at Salone del Milano 2022 in Hall 14 on Stand B37-C36 from 7-12 June.
