Irish independent completes refit work following flood damage

Irish independent furniture business Kingsbury Furniture has announced its official reopening following a devastating flood last year.

Situated at Tallaght Retail Centre in Tallaght, Dublin, the business suffered severe flood damage during September last year.

The company had to close the store in order to repair the damage, with the flood caused by a leak in the upstairs apartment above the store.

The refit included new lighting, carpets and ceilings as well as decorating the shop to its final finish.

Despite being closed for “much longer period than we anticipated initially”, the company reopened on 17 May following the completion of the refit works.

Kingsbury Furniture now looks to kick on and welcomes back customers. “We missed one of our busiest times of the trading year but, looking on the brighter side of things, we have a brand-new store.”
