Interior fit-out firm posts return to sales growth

The parent company of interior fit-out specialist Nuttall’s has reported a growth in profit and sales.

According to the latest filed accounts for The Alan Nuttall Partnership, to the year ended 31 December 2022, total sales rose 20.3% to £47.9m from £39.8m in 2021.

UK sales were up 51.3% to £33.3m from £22m, while export sales decreased 17.9% to £14.6m from £17.8m.

Pre-tax profit resulted at £3.8m, up by 8.5% compared to its profit of £3.5m recorded the previous year. It marked a consecutive year of bottom-line growth.

The group, which services include retail store fit outs with clients such as Amtico, Homebase and M&S under its Nuttall’s brand and heat display units through its Flexeserve brand, said that both businesses continued to build on their success achieved in the previous year.

During the year, founder Alan Nuttall sadly passed away. His wife, Jacqueline was appointed into the position of Founder of the Partnership following his death to continue his legacy.

Furthermore, the group made establishing Flexeserve Inc in the US a key strategy to realise international sales potential and drive growth.

Darren Emms, Finance Director, said: “Both brands performed exceptionally, prioritising quality, cost and delivery to ensure the Partnership’s strong financial position is maintained. Increased sales of £8m were achieved due to strong customer relationships, newly diversified areas of business and continued development of new products, services and working processes.”
