Independent retailer to close store after just six months

Independent home furnishings and accessories retailer Snug Interiors has announced plans to close.

The Corby-based business, situated on New Post Office Square in the town centre, said that rising costs and shoppers opting for retail parks were the main reasons behind the closure.

Owner, Mr Nar, launched Snug Interiors around six months ago in Corby, stocking a variety of home furnishings from furniture, soft furnishings, rugs, picture frames and homeware items.

Due to increasing overheads and the rent attached to the store, as well as having to compete with retail parks, the business has launched a closing down sale.

No official date has been set for the final closure, with the business aiming to shift larger stock items first.
