Independent flooring and bed retailer Wilsons Carpets has reported a growth in sales as turnover surpassed £40m.

According to its latest filed accounts for the year ended 30 September 2023, total sales rose 8.1% to £43.8m from £40.5m in 2022. Pre-tax profit resulted at £1.9m, up from £1.6m recorded the previous year.

Stated within its report, the company, which trades through 17 stores across South Yorkshire, Lincolnshire and Nottinghamshire, said: “The Directors are pleased to report that the business has performed satisfactorily during the year and the Group continues to prioritise investments for the benefit of the business. Trading for 2023/24 has so far been in line with expectations.”
