Independent interiors business to close shop as focus shifts to online

Independent interior design, furniture and home accessories business, The Little Interior Company, has confirmed it plans to close its shop this month.

The company, co-owned by twin sisters Fiona and Heather Newsome, who first opened the business back in 2013, said that due to rising costs and declining footfall, the business will close the store in Aylsham for the final time on 24 December 2022.

However, the company will remain active online and has plans to launch a new website next year.

In a statement, The Little Interior Company said: “It is with a heavy heart we have decided to close the doors on our shop front in Aylsham, Norfolk on 24th December 2022.

“This decision is a result of increased costs all round due to the current economic climate and drop in footfall over the last three years.

“This is allowing us to focus on our websites to ensure The Little Interior Company continues. We are launching a brand-new website in January 2023.

“Our wonderful Home and Garden delights will all be available to purchase, as well as our service for Interior Design and bespoke Curtains & Blinds.

We cannot thank you enough for coming in and ‘Shopping Local’ with us. We will miss you all but we are hoping it won’t be for too long until we can find fresh new shop.”
