Independent homewares shop to close; online remains

Independent homewares shop Elizabeth Marie has announced plans to close its store but remain online.

The homeware business, founded by Dan and Jessica Burton, has been open on the corner of Stanley Street and Dog Lane, in Leek, since 2019.

In a statement on their plans moving forward, the company said: “We are unfortunately closing Elizabeth Marie but keeping our online business. But we aren’t actually going anywhere.

“Andrea, from The Closet, has decided to step down so me and my mum Sharon have decided to bring the clothes downstairs. We want to thank you all for your continuous support throughout the last four years.”
