Independent furniture retailer Simply Stunning Interiors has announced it plans to close.

The company, which is based in Wormelow, Hereford, was due to relaunch next month after Thomas, the eldest son of the Pearson family, took on the family business.

A statement previously said: “With the recent update of Thomas, the eldest son of the Pearson family, taking on the business, we are spending the next few weeks preparing for a large October relaunch.

“Expect new interiors, furniture ranges, homewares & giftware with a new lease of life to the showroom & coffee shop. We will of course remain open over September. However, as stocks and ranges build up, there may be some gaps in our displays.”

However, the company has now decided to close for good due to plans not going as expected and has launched a closing down sale.

“Unfortunately, things haven’t worked out as planned and we are sadly closing,” the business said in a short statement, adding: “All stock needs to be urgently cleared.”
