Swedish furniture retailer IKEA has announced the opening date for its new store in Carlow.

Situated at Fairgreen Shopping Centre in Carlow Town, the new Plan and Order Point will officially open on Friday 23 February 2024.

The new Plan and Order Point is a smaller store where there is a specific focus dedicated to kitchen and bedroom planning. Products from across the full IKEA range can be ordered in the new store for delivery.

The new store adds to other locations in Ireland, including in Naas, Cork, Drogheda and St. Stephen’s Green Shopping Centre in Dublin.

Martyn Allan, Market Manager, IKEA Ireland, said: “In the Plan and Order Points, we design dream kitchens at an affordable price. They’re also a fantastic place for us to help people living far away from our store in Ballymun with their other IKEA purchases, such as ordering a sofa or a wardrobe.”
