Homebase opens new store in Chester

Home improvement retailer Homebase has opened its latest store in Chester.

Officially opened on 25 May, Homebase’s new store takes over the former John Lewis site on Greyhound Retail Park.

To mark the opening, the business is to hold a grand opening on 4 June, which will be attended by the Dulux dog, Madison, the 14th Old English Sheepdog to take the role since 1961.

The new store will sell homewares, furniture and flooring options alongside its typical product ranges, as well as featuring a garden centre.

The new 6,200sq ft store has created 29 jobs for the area.
