Harvey Norman to open UK flagship store

Furniture and electronics retailer Harvey Norman has announced plans to open its debut UK flagship store.

Situated at Merry Hill, the retailer will take over a former Debenhams store comprising of 57,000sqft of retail space.

The opening, which will launch later this year, will create 100 new jobs and will feature luxury furniture, including sofas, dining sets, outdoor furniture and homeware items as well as technology products.

Katie Page, Harvey Norman CEO, said: “With its exceptional connectivity and a population around the same size as New Zealand – where we have 42 stores – it’s clear that the West Midlands represents a significant growth opportunity for Harvey Norman.

“We have been in the UK for many years with two stores in Northern Ireland, so we look forward to opening our new Flagship store in Merry Hill later this year.”
