Garden centre to offer carpet retail shop

Garden centre Notcutts has revealed plans to expand its services into carpets and flooring.

The Norwich-based business has submitted a planning application to Norwich City Council to change the use of a building it owns from upholstery services to a new carpet and flooring retail shop.

Notcutts, which is situated on Daniels Road, closed its upholstery offering a number of years ago with the premises remaining vacant ever since.

The application also states that the property will be able to retail garden equipment and food products, while the carpet shop is understood to be run by a separate company.

Norwich City Council is currently reviewing the application, which is expected to be decided by 1 November 2023.
