Furniture wholesaler grows sales beyond £50m

Furniture wholesale business Julian Bowen has reported a surge in sales as turnover surpassed £50m.

According to its latest filed accounts for the year ended 31 December 2022, total sales rose 54.3% to £55.1m from £35.7m in 2021.

Pre-tax profit resulted at £8.6m, up from £6.8m recorded the previous year.  

Stated within its report, the company said that UK sales rose 54.2% to £52.6m from £34.1m, while EU revenues increased 60% to £2.4m from £1.5m.

“During the year, the company continued to expand its product range while, at the same time, strengthening our operations team across the business to support our ongoing new customer growth which underpins our future profitability,” the business added.
