Kitchens, bedrooms and bathrooms manufacturer JJO has invested in its delivery fleet and new machinery.
The Rossendale-based business has injected £1.2m into new pressing and cutting machinery, installing the latest version of the Wemhöner machinery, which connects to an automated pressing and trimming line that has a laser temperature control to reduce energy consumption.
JJO said that after just two weeks of it being installed, the business has seen a 30% increase in productivity.
Meanwhile, JJO has invested a further £250,000 four new DAF tractor units as part of its company policy to replace its fleet every five years.
Stephen Greenhalgh, Managing Director, said: “As we deliver to customers around the country and the drivers can be away for two to three nights, it is important that the cab and its accommodation is right.
“Part of our service to customers is that we only use our drivers to deliver our products and the customers appreciate the relationship that builds up with the drivers and that they are flexible to meet their needs.”
