Furniture retailer delivers return to profit; eyes continued growth

Furniture retailer Arighi Bianchi has reported a growth in sales and a return to profit.

According to its latest filed accounts for the year ended 30 June 2022, total sales rose 14% to £17.2m from £15.1m in 2021.

Gross profit increased from £6.3m to £6.8m, while pre-tax profit resulted at £321,000, significantly improving from a loss of £148,000 recorded the previous year.

Stated within its report, the company said: “With our strong heritage of 168 years and well known brand name, our continued investment in our website and a new integrated IT system to come, we are well placed and in a strong position to take advantage of the continued house developments in the North West and the demand generated from a lack of housing in the country.

“With our good product mix and large product range, we are confident we can push forward and deliver continued sound financial performance and continue to grow our market share.”
