Furniture industry trade body appoints new MD

The British Furniture Manufacturers (BFM) has appointed a new Managing Director, with extensive experience in the furniture and home interiors sector.

Phil Spademan joins the trade body in the leadership role, working with the BFM Board to further strengthen the association’s links with the furniture industry and the wider public.

His track record in the sector includes seven years at Ercol, where he held the role of Sales and Marketing Director. Phil has also held leadership roles at Nielsen Design and Siren Furniture.

Nick Garratt, Chairman of the BFM, said: “We welcome Phil to the BFM and look forward to working together to represent our members and the British furniture industry as a whole.

“Sean Holt has left the business and the Company would like to thank Sean for his contribution and wish him well for the future.”
