Furniture division strong at fasteners and components supplier

Fasteners and components supplier Jet Press, which provides its products to various industries including furniture, has reported a growth in sales as turnover climbed towards Ā£10m.

According to its latest filed accounts for the year ended 30 April 2022, total sales rose 5.6% to Ā£9.4m from Ā£8.9m in 2021. Pre-tax profit resulted at Ā£447,000, down from Ā£967,000 recorded the previous year.

UK sales rose 9.6% to Ā£5.7m from Ā£5.2m, while EU sales remained flat at Ā£3m. Revenues outside the EU declined from Ā£668,000 to Ā£601,000.

Stated within its report, the company said that its furniture division showed strong growth in the UK although overall revenues were slightly below its budgetary expectations.

ā€œThe last financial year was a period of high re-investment in many parts of our business, which has impacted overall profitability, but has now put us in a strong position for additional growth and productivity going froward,ā€ the business added.
