Furniture components supplier delivers another strong year

Components manufacturer BHK (UK) has reported a growth in sales as profit almost doubles for a second straight year.

According to its latest filed accounts for the year ended 31 December 2022, total sales rose 7.6% to £14.1m from £13.1m in 2021, adding to its growth of 25.9% from £10.4m in 2020.

UK sales were up 6.2% to £13.6m from £12.8m, while EU revenues rose 34.8% to £472,000 from £350,000.

Pre-tax profit resulted at £809,000, up 66.4% from £486,000, marking another year of significant bottom line growth following its rise of 276% from £129,000 in 2020.

Stated within its report, the company said that it had continued to invest in machinery and people during the year, as well as investing in training in automation technology to implement automation solutions in-house.

BHK said that its profiles business has continued to grow in the year while also maintaining its market share in the drawers business.

BHK (UK) manufactures chipboard, MDF and plywood drawers, bases and profiles for general furniture use.
