Furniture and interior design business The Sofa Library has announced plans to open a new store in Brighton.

Situated on Dukes Street, the new store will take the place of a former Heal’s shop that has been vacant since March last year.

The Sofa Library, which is based in Bristol and specialises in manufacturing bespoke sofas, cabinets and bedroom furniture, is currently operates from its Clifton store on Whiteladies Road in Bristol.

The business said that it is “proud” to be opening its first store outside of Bristol, stating that Brighton has “complimentary demographics of people# compared to its current location.

The new store is expected to open by mid-October.
