Furniture business No44 Furniture & Fine Things has confirmed it has ceased trading after 56 years.

The Cobham company confirmed the news in a statement on its website and officially closed at the end of 2022.

No44 Furniture & Fine Things, which operated from its store on Portsmouth Road, said: “We are very sad that No44 Furniture & Fine Things has now closed. We have run the shop from afar (we live in Suffolk), and have travelled to, and stayed in Cobham for that time.

“In the current economic climate, it seemed the right time to call it a day, and just continue to pursue our business interests closer to our home. We are currently still selling some Big Green Egg Bundles at greatly reduced prices. You can also contact us regarding any outstanding deliveries of furniture. We would like to thank our customers for all their support over the last 13 years. Paul & Jayne Robertson.”
