Independent flooring wholesaler STS Flooring Distributors has reported a growth in turnover and profit.

According to its latest filed accounts for the year ended 31 December 2021, total sales rose 10.6% to £25.3m from £22.8m in 2020.

Gross profit increased from £5.6m to £6.3m, while pre-tax profit resulted at £508,000, up from £423,000 recorded the previous year.

Stated within its report, the company said the year started ‘slowly’ following Covid restrictions but levels soon recovered to previous performances seen in the second half of 2020, which then continued for the remainder of the year, adding that it has experienced a ‘strong start’ to the year ahead.
