Flooring group Headlam has seen two of its brands come together under one roof following its acquisition last year.

Back in August 2023, Headlam announced it agreed to acquire the trade and assets of PD Pattern Books, one of the UK’s largest manufacturers of pattern books, sampling and other presentation material based in Bradford.

PD Pattern is a leader in the industry, with promotional materials being important to the successful launch and sale of flooring product ranges.

At the time of acquisition, Headlam said: “By PD Pattern becoming part of the group, Headlam will be able to more effectively manage its lead-times in relation to new launches and associated materials, while also realising savings through bringing some of its requirements inhouse. PD Pattern’s highly established customer base includes businesses within the Headlam Group and leading suppliers.”

The group also stated that it would move PD Pattern a few miles down the road to the nearby site of Melrose Interiors, which itself became part of Headlam in January 2023.

Melrose Interiors is one the UK’s largest suppliers to the online rug industry, with an inhouse pattern book and sampling department.

The relocation has now been completed to facility in Wibsey, with PD Pattern also being rebranded to Spectrum Pattern Book Specialists.

“Customers of PD Pattern and Melrose Interiors will benefit from the two businesses being brought together and operating under one roof. Investment will be made in new machinery and people which will increase production capacity to further improve the service for customers,” the group added.
