Flooring firm leaves debts of £1m as it enters liquidation

Floor and wallcoverings supplier Urbane Living has been placed into liquidation with creditors owed just over £1m.

Kelly Burton and Gemma Roberts, both of Wilson Field Ltd, were appointed as joint liquidators of Adwinma Limited, trading as Urbane Living, on 30 November 2022.

Detailed in newly filed documents on Companies House, the business owed preferential creditor, the HMRC, a sum of £202,000. It is expected that £20,000 will be realised from company assets, resulting in a shortfall of £182,000.

As for unsecured creditors, £542,000 is owed to Pontsarn Investments Limited, while £252,000 is owed to Funding Circle. A further £12,500 is owed to trade creditors and £71,000 is owed to NatWest Bank.

It is understood that creditors will suffer an overall shortfall of £1.06m.
