Fitted furniture business grows top and bottom lines

Fitted kitchen and fitted bedroom furniture business Starplan has reported a growth in turnover and profit.

According to its latest filed accounts for the year ended 30 April 2022, total sales rose 29% to £18.1m from £14m in 2021. Pre-tax profit resulted at £1.6m, up from £1.1m recorded in the previous year.

Stated within its report, the company said: “The directors are committed to long term creation of shareholder value by increasing market share through organic growth, including new branch openings, and will continue to invest in people, products and facilities in order to support this development.”

Throughout the year, Starplan significantly increased its charity donations to £11,100, compared to £450 in 2021, for the ‘benefit of local communities in which the company operates’.
