Final call for Big Shots charity event

Industry charity The Furniture Makers’ Company is issuing a final call for teams to participate in its charity clay pigeon shoot, Big Shots.

The fundraiser is taking place at Holland and Holland, Middlesex, one of the UK’s premier shooting destinations, on Wednesday 6 July 2022. The deadline for applications is Wednesday 29 June.

The fun-packed day will commence with a hearty breakfast. After a safety briefing, the 100- bird shooting competition will start with the firing of the canon, with teams then making their way round 10 stands set in the estate’s 60 acres of stunning open countryside. In addition to the traditional shooting stands, there will be some novelty stands to delight guests, including the flash clays and a thrilling eight straight stand. After the exciting clay pigeon competition, there will be prizes, a raffle and charity auction, following a delicious three-course lunch with wine.

As always, there will be plenty of opportunities throughout the day to raise money for the charity, which supports workers from the trade who have fallen on hard times and encourages new talent into the industry. Guests will also get to bid for the opportunity to fire the canon that will start the day.

Enjoyable for novice and experienced shooters, Big Shots is perfect for entertaining clients or suppliers, team building days for colleagues or a day out with friends. Big Shots is once again being generously sponsored by Furniture Village and organised with the support of Charlie Harrison, commercial director.

The price of an individual shooter is £300 + VAT with a team of four costing £1,200 + VAT. Sponsorship opportunities are also available.
