Home furnishings retailer Dunelm has announced the opening of its new store in Watford.

Back in May this year, Dunelm confirmed plans to open in the former John Lewis store within Atria Watford, which features a retail space of 33,000sqft.

The retailer officially opened the new store on 2 December 2023 and has created 50 new jobs for the area.

These include different position across its departments, with the store stocking bedding, cook and dine, bathroom, home accessories, made to measure, haberdashery, and furniture.

To celebrate the opening, Dunelm offered the first 100 customers through the doors a goodie bag filled with Dunelm products as well as 40 golden tickets that were hidden throughout the store, worth between £5 and £20.

Andrew Hamilton, Dunelm director of store experience, previously said: “We’re delighted to have found a new home for our latest Dunelm store in Atria Watford, which provides us with an ideal location to serve the local community, bringing to them a huge range of homewares that is an unbeatable combination of quality and value.”
