UK creative agency Creature London has been acquired by Dutch communications group Candid.

Creature London, which was founded in 2011 and has clients including furniture retailer Dunlem and boxed mattress brand eve Sleep, is the UK’s 26th biggest agency in Nielsen’s latest rankings, with billings of £59m in 2021, up 173% from 2020, driven by its campaigns with Dunelm.

As part of this acquisition, Candid’s Amsterdam-based creative agency XXS Amsterdam will be rebranded to Creature Amsterdam, establishing Creature as a growing global agency.

Dan Cullen-Shute, one of Creature London’s founders, will be the Worldwide CEO, overseeing both offices. XXS’s Founder and Director Piet Hein Smit and MD Sanne Tolsma will continue their roles at Creature Amsterdam.
