Independent furniture, interiors and giftware shop The Study Gifts & Interiors has announced it is closing.

The business, situated in Glasgow, cited “very difficult trading conditions” as the main reason behind the decision.

Commenting on the closure, Lewis Donaldson, owner of The Study Gifts & Interiors, said: “The Christmas period was dampened by the weather, and trade has been very poor since the start of January – worse than the expected Jan/Feb slow period. I have been left with no choice but to close.

“Since opening the shop in Shawlands in December 2022, I have given my all to bring a new vibe to Kilmarnock Road with an ever changing selection of cool products. It has been an amazing journey but sadly one that is coming to an end.

“I want to extend a big THANK YOU to everyone who has visited, browsed, and shopped at The Study. And special thanks to my amazing family and friends for their unwavering and constant love and support.”

The business is currently running a closing down sale and will permanently shut when complete.
