Deluxe Beds wins the Shooting Star Award

Bed manufacturer Deluxe Beds has been recognised with the October Shooting Star Award, presented on behalf of Huddersfield Town Football Club.

The long-standing award recognises the great work of businesses around Yorkshire and is presented to the winners on behalf of Huddersfield Town and Club Partner, Lucas Lee.

October’s award has been presented to Deluxe Beds, who were recently crowned the best diverse business at the Kirklees Diversity, Equality, and Innovation Conference & Awards in September this year.

The Birkby based business is owned and run by Asian Woman Khatiza Bibi, and its workforce consists of 15 different nationalities speaking 11 languages, mainly drawn from the local community with many belonging to disadvantaged ethnic minority groups.

Lifelong Huddersfield Town FC supporter and Season Card Holder James Appleyard, Sales Director at Deluxe Beds commented: “Winning the Shooting Star Award is great recognition of the work we are doing behind the scenes at Deluxe Beds to highlight where we can help others.

“Whether this is through charitable donations, or by developing people from diverse backgrounds to become part of our inclusive company.”
