Danish furniture retailer eyes up Scottish expansion

Danish furniture retailer BoConcept has revealed plans to open more stores in Scotland following the growing success in the country.

Franchisee Adam Davidson, who employs 55 staff across four concessions in Scotland, said sales for the financial year to March 2022 had reached over £4m, with forecasts expected to exceed £8m in the year ahead.

The Scottish division of BoConcept operates from stores in Tillicoultry, Aberdeen, Glasgow and Edinburgh, as well as online via its own dedicated Scotland website, with the latter seeing a four-fold increase in online business.

The Scottish arm has plans to expand further with more stores from 2025.
