Bespoke furnishing design business grows sales and profit

Bespoke kitchen and bedroom design company Roundhouse Design has reported a return to sales growth as turnover jumped by £5m.

According to its latest filed accounts for the year ended 31 December 2022, total sales rose 51% to £15.1m from £10m in 2021. This marked an improvement from its fall in revenues of 13% in 2020.

Pre-tax profit resulted at £1.5m, up from £436,000 recorded the previous year, as well as higher than its profit of £1m reported in 2020.

Stated within its report, the company said the results included its Clapham showroom and the transfer of assets of fellow group business (Roundhouse (Nightingale Lane) Limited. Turnover on a consolidated showroom basis delivered an uptick from £12.9m to £15.5m.

During the period, Roundhouse increased customer awareness through advertising, as well as continued to develop new products to add value to sales.
