Norfolk-based independent beds and mattress retailer Mattressman has announced plans to close its Chelmsford store this month.

Situated on Springfield Road in the town centre, Mattressman said that the reason behind the closure was due to its lease expiring.

Commenting on closure, Mattressman said: “We are closing our much loved Chelmsford store this month. Our lease has run out and whilst it was a well-performing store, Mattressman is in a transitionary phase with a new vision for stores in key locations.

“Our Chelmsford store could no longer offer the Mattressman experience we want to give customers under our new vision. No jobs are being lost and we hope our local Chelmsford customers continue to support us in the future either online or at our Colchester branch.”
