Family furniture business grows sales and profit

Family-run furniture store Andersons of Inverurie has reported a growth in sales as profit more than doubled.

According to its latest filed accounts for the year ended 31 October 2021, total sales rose 19.5% to £9.8m from £8.2m in 2020.

Gross profit increased from £3.7m to £4.2m, while pre-tax profit resulted at £1.1m, up 168%, from £410,000 recorded the previous year.

Stated within its report, the company said overall performance was ‘good despite the three month closure with margins maintained’.
