Danish furniture company Unique Furniture has announced a change in leadership.

As of September 1st, 2025, Jacob Lyngsø has stepped into the role of CEO, succeeding founder and main shareholder, Flemming Lindtofte.

“The furniture industry is experiencing turbulent times, and our strength lies in our ability to adapt, stay true to our values, and pursue our vision with determination and grit,” the company said. “On that front everything remains unchanged!”

While Jacob will broaden his focus to the entire group of businesses, he will remain closely tied to his commercial roots, ensuring that its approach to the market continues to be “bold and ambitious”.

Flemming will remain an integral part of the leadership team, shifting his focus primarily to Supply Chain Management (Sourcing & Quality) and strategically important projects, such as its US subsidiary and the development of its new head office and showroom – for which excavation is expected to begin in the coming months.

“We remain open to reviewing suitable opportunities for partnerships in the format of M&A activities, which remains an ongoing focus for both Flemming & Jacob in the years to come,” the company added.

“Together, we believe this transition strengthens Unique Furniture’s ability to meet today’s challenges, while staying true to who we are and where we are heading.”
