Think Group appoints new Technical and Sustainability Manager

Yorkshire-based textile innovator Think Group has announced the appointment of Rachel Douglas Phillips as its new Technical & Sustainability Manager.

Rachel joins the company with a strong background in textile science and technology. In her previous role as Business Development Manager at NIRI (Nonwovens Innovation and Research Institute), Rachel quickly proved her technical and commercial capabilities, managing key accounts, including clients listed on the Fortune 500.

In her new role, Rachel will lead on the development of new products in collaboration with customers and guiding businesses on sustainability within the Non-Wovens industry. Alongside this, she will support the manufacturing process by optimising fibre blends and adapting existing products for more technical applications.

“I’m really excited to join Think Group and contribute to the development of innovative nonwoven products, as well as being part of new fibre initiatives,” says Rachel. “It’s a great opportunity to be part of a business that’s committed to sustainability and forward-thinking solutions.”

Rachel’s appointment will support more technically informed collaboration with Think Group’s clients. She will play a crucial role in helping customers understand and utilise the potential of emerging technologies in the Non-Wovens sector.
