Glasswells set to undergo major refurbishment

Independent furniture retailer Glasswells has announced that its Bury St Edmunds store is about to undergo a massive £500,000 refurbishment of the ground floor, enhancing the cookshop, gifts, lighting, bedding and bath departments.

As part of their continued growth, Glasswells refurbishment aims to modernise showrooms and create first-class shopping environments. This investment will ensure showrooms feature contemporary layouts and design elements that enhance shoppers experience, offering customers a more spacious and inspiring environment to explore the latest home furnishing trends.

Work is set to be completed by Autumn, with the store remaining open throughout. In preparation for the refurbishment, surplus stock is being cleared across all departments. Glasswells are keeping disruptions to a minimum while improvements are underway.

Paul Glasswell, Managing Director, said: “We’re committed to delivering a shopping experience you can truly enjoy. This refurbishment is part of our ongoing investment in enhancing the store’s ambience and delivering an exceptional customer journey. We’ve been a part of the town since 1946, and this is about building for the future — we’re here to stay.”
